Calm pools of water separate the rapids \u2013 perfect for getting your breath back and admiring the spectacular highland scenery before you tackle the next rapid. We pick the best river available for your big day to ensure that you have the very best rafting experience.<br \/>\nDuring the half-day rafting trip, you will float about six miles in distance&gt; We start around the old market town of Aberfeldy. Here, the river winds lazily along the Tay valley, through rolling hills and stunning scenery. This is an area with diverse wildlife, which is best seen from the river. The paddle crew has ample opportunity to practice their newly learned rafting skills with a variety of fun and challenging games before the river drops away and creates challenging rapids that flow down to Grandtully.<br \/>\nRapids such as \u2018Zoom Flume\u2018 and \u2018The Washing Machine\u2018 keep people on their toes, before the grand finale: \u2018The Grandtully Rapid\u2018. This is the longest rapid on the river and provides one or two surprises for the unwary rafter!<br \/>\nHigh water, usually from September to April, provides the exhilaration of greater speed, bigger waves, and challenging rafting. Lower flows during the summer months provide a more scenic and gentle introduction but require tight teamwork and more precise maneuvering.<br \/>\nAll our whitewater rafting trips include all equipment required plus a professional, experienced guide per raft combined with an overall trip leader in charge of the trip.
